Description

Carreño appeared at Choral Hall in Auckland, New Zealand as part of the Australasian 1910 tour. On July 9, 1910 she performed Chromatische Fantasie und Fugue (Bach, J. S.), Sonata, op. 27, no. 1 (Beethoven, Ludwig van), Prelude, op. 28, no. 15, Polonaise in E-flat Minor, op. 26, Polonaise, A-flat, op. 53 (Chopin, Fryderyk), Fantasie (Poldini, Ede), Barcarolle, Hexentanz (MacDowell, Edward), Impromptu, op. 90, no. 2 (Schubert, Franz), Soirees de Vienne no. 6 (Schubert, Franz (arr. Liszt)), and Marche militaire (Schubert, Franz (arr. Tausig)).

On July 11, 1910 she performed Sonata, op. 53 (Beethoven, Ludwig van), Nocturne, op. 48, Etude, A-flat, Ballade, G Minor, Tarantelle (Chopin, Fryderyk), Concertstueck, with orchestral accompaniment on second piano (Weber, Carl Maria von), Melodie, Barcarolle, F Minor (Rubinstein, Anton), and Marche militaire (Schubert, Franz (arr. Tausig)). Carreño performed on a Bechstein piano. The concerts began at 8:15 pm.
