Opera House (July 2, 1910)

Description

Carreño appeared at the Opera House in Wellington, New Zealand as part of the Australasian 1910 tour. She performed Sonata, op. 31, no. 3 (Beethoven, Ludwig van), Etudes symphoniques (Schumann, Robert), Grand Concerto in A Minor, op. 16, with orchestral accompaniment on second piano (Grieg, Edvard), Nocturne (Tchaikovsky, Peter Ilich), Etude “Am Seegestade” (Smetana, Bedrich), and La campanella (Paganini, Niccolò (arr. Liszt)). Benno Scherek performed orchestral accompaniment on the second piano. Carreño performed on a Bechstein piano. The concert began at 8:15 pm.
