The Philharmonic Society has announced a pair of extra concerts outside of its subscription series, such as it has given in recent years. These will be given under Mr. Safonoff's direction on Friday afternoon, March 27, and Saturday evening, March 28, and will be devoted to Tschaikowsky's works. The orchestra will play the "Romeo and Juliet" fantasy overture, and the sixth or "pathetic" symphony. Mme. Teresa Carreno will be the soloist, and will play the B flat minor concerto for the piano.
