Description

Carreño appeared at the John M. Greene Hall at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She performed Sonata, op. 57 (Appassionata) (Beethoven, Ludwig van), Nocturne, C Minor, op. 48, Etude, A-flat, Valse, A-flat, op. 42, Ballade, G minor, op. 23 (Chopin, Fryderyk), Études symphoniques (Schumann, Robert), Les orientales (from a poem by Victor Hugo), Hexentanz (MacDowell, Edward), and Marche militaire (Schubert, Franz (arr. Tausig)). Carreño performed on an Everett piano.
